Tarot Reading – Tuesday, July 23, 2024
Greetings to you, my reflective reader. Today, our guiding theme is Personal Transformation and the three tarot cards that have revealed themselves to us today are the Five of Pentacles, the Ace of Wands and the Wheel of Fortune. Let us embark on today’s contemplative journey and see what wisdom they hold for us.
Our journey begins with the Five of Pentacles, a card typically associated with hardship and struggle. The stoic philosopher Epictetus once said:
“Difficulties are things that show a person what they are.”
Although this card may initially seem foreboding, it actually embodies a powerful stoic lesson. It advises us to reflect on our current struggles and hardships, but not with despair. Instead, the Five of Pentacles asks us to consider these difficult circumstances as opportunities for self-reflection and inner growth. The struggles that you are going through may very well be shaping and defining who you are and who you will become.
In the midst of hardship, we find illumination in the Ace of Wands. This card represents a spark, the exciting beginning of a journey, or the initial inspiration for a new creative endeavor. It stands in stark contrast to the hardship offered by the Five of Pentacles, but reminds us of the words from Seneca:
“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
You may be navigating through some troubled waters right now, but remember, an end also signals the start of something new. The Ace of Wands encourages you to find that spark within you, that creative inspiration that will guide you out of the darkness. Strife does not last forever, and the Ace of Wands urges you to prepare for the golden opportunities that await you once you prevail in your current predicaments.
Our journey concludes with the Wheel of Fortune, a card that signifies change, cycles, and fate. The Wheel of Fortune synchronises magnificently with the stoic philosophy of understanding and accepting the flow of life. As Marcus Aurelius remarked:
“The universe is change; our life is what our thoughts make it.”
After the tumult of struggle and the hopeful spark of new beginnings, you will be faced with the constant cycle of change that the Wheel of Fortune embodies. Nothing is ever truly stagnant; life is constantly flowing and evolving, and it is our reaction to these changes that truly shape our experiences.
On this day, do remember that it is these experiential ups and downs that continually mold and shape us. Adversities refine us, new beginnings enthuse us, and changes make us adaptable. Thus, let us maintain our grace under all circumstances, and courageously ride the Wheel of Fortune, seeing every turn as an opportunity for personal transformation.
Journaling Prompt: Ask yourself, “How can I view a current struggle as an opportunity for personal growth? What new beginnings can I envision in the midst of this challenge?” Reflect on your ability to adapt to life’s constant flux. Is there an area where you could exhibit more grace and resilience? How will you leverage change for personal transformation moving forward?
