A majestic public figure seated on a throne, which has been artfully crafted from a winding, intricately detailed branch of a fire-colored wisteria tree. His regal headpiece emits a fiery glow, suggesting his prominent status, and in his hand, he grasps a blooming wand ablaze with fire. His eyes sparkle with fierce determination and staunch resilience, truly embodying the spirit and energy associated with the ruler of the wand suit in tarot. The scenery in the background displays an enchanting sunset, brilliantly painted with hues of vibrant red, rich orange, and lustrous gold.

Monday April 1st, 2024 - Embracing Inner Power and Resilience

We start the week with a powerful selection. The vibrant flame of the King of Wands flickers first.

The King of Wands embodies energy, resilience, and creativity. Much like the brave king, harness the fire in your soul and step into the light with assertiveness. Seneca, the Stoic philosopher, once said, > “It is not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It is because we dare not venture that they are difficult.”

Similarly, the King of Wands urges you to break out of your shell. Rise above your perceived limitations. You are called to seize the day, and to lean into your charisma. Ignite your passion with determination and keep your eyes on the goal. Just as stoic philosophers taught, this is a call to embrace your full potential.

Our second guide for today is the lively Page of Wands, with its emphasis on exploration and enthusiasm. You are called to approach the world with curiosity, much like a stoic philosopher reveling in the mystery of life.

”We are born to wander,” said Marcus Aurelius, “To wonder is to begin to understand.” The Page of Wands echoes this sentiment, encouraging ventures into unknown territories of self. This card is a symbol of youth and potential, brimming with boundless enthusiasm. Do not let your fear of uncertainty eclipse the joy of discovery. Embrace your individuality, allow yourself the freedom to explore, and approach your journey with an open heart and mind.

The final card in our triad is the sharp-minded Queen of Swords. She represents a call to clear-headedness and objective perception.

In the stoic philosophy, Epictetus tells us, > “We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak”. The Queen of Swords embodying stoicism in this way invites us to observe, analyse and interpret. She advises us not be swayed by emotions, but instead to strive for balance and equanimity. She urges us to cut through deception and find clarity.

While both the King and Page of Wands encourage us to be energetic and explorative, the Queen of Swords gently reminds us to ground ourselves in wisdom and reason. Always be willing to listen, learn, and above all, strive for truth in understanding.

To assist you in reflecting on today’s spread, I leave you with a journaling prompt:

“Reflect on a situation in life where you need to embody the traits of the King of Wands, Page of Wands, and Queen of Swords. What are some actions you can take to incorporate these lessons into your daily life?” Use this to guide your reflection and personal insight.
