Create an image of a young, South Asian male explorer holding a wand high in the air during the beginning of a new day. His facial expressions radiating vibrancy and curiosity, hinting at his youthful fearlessness. He stands tall against a lush and untamed wilderness, filled with tall trees and vibrant flowers, a landscape he is eager to embark upon. The color palette should be rich and vivid, embodying deep hues of sunrise that invoke the spirit of passion and creativity.

Tarot Reading for Sunday, February 11th, 2024

Dear curious minds and seeking souls, on this beautiful Sunday, let’s infuse ancient wisdom into our modern lives. Inspired by the fearlessly innovative Page of Wands, the confrontational Two of Swords and the truth-seeking Ace of Swords, today’s theme leapt out as “Choices, Changes, and Clarity”.

Kicking off our contemplation is the youthful energy of the Page of Wands, a card that administers a bold message of exploring the world with child-like wonder. Just as Marcus Aurelius reminded us,

“The universe is change; our life is what our thoughts make it.”

The Page calls us to replace fear with curiosity, to ignite our creative passions, and to use our innate talents to create profound change in the world. And by the act of doing, we are not just exploring the world, we also explore ourselves.

Our journey continues with the Two of Swords; a card that carries the energy of impasse and difficult decisions. It’s illustrative of that moment in life where we sense the need to make a choice, but lacks the clarity to make one. A blockade we must intentionally break using Epictetus’s wise words:

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”

We need to remove our blindfold, face our fears, and choose the path that resonates with our inner truths. Uncertainty can only be conquered by taking action, for it is better to make a decision and learn from mistakes than to remain paralyzed in inertia.

Lastly, we have the Ace of Swords, a symbol of mental clarity and breakthrough.

”The first and greatest victory is to conquer yourself. To be conquered by self is, of all things, the most shameful and vile.” Plato once said.

This card nudged us to victory by tapping into our mental prowess, encouraging us to cut through deception and confusion with our metaphorical sword of truth and discernment. Its appearance is a sign that our minds are becoming sharper, enabling us to see the world from a new and enlightened perspective.

Today’s reading encourages us to observe ourselves and the world around us with heightened curiosity and courage, to make decisions firmly and fearlessly, and keep our minds sharp and clear. We are reminded that the real journey is within and every experience, be it an easy one or a challenging one, is perfect for our growth.
